Tech Net Panel Discussion
Posted November 18th, 2008 by NathanThis morning I sat on a panel discussing the California budget and technology related issues with two of my future colleagues in the Assembly. The technology sector of our economy is one of vital importance to our long term and sustainable economic growth. They provide a broad range of jobs across the tech spectrum—biotech, high-tech, clean tech, energy technology, etc. And these industries also provide a variety of jobs: executive, research, manufacturing, support. Despite our tremendous base of industry, California is not a tech friendly plane to expand a business. I talked at length in the campaign about things like reforming our tax code, increasing the research and development tax credit and other items to attract and retain these quality jobs. I look forward to working on them next year.

Posted November 2nd, 2008 by DavidThis morning, Nathan went precinct walking with a group of College Republicans. KGTV Channel 10 News decided to tag along to shoot a story on Republican turnout efforts and excitement over the upcoming election. They helped show that Barack Obama is not the only candidate that young voters are excited for -- the Republican ticket is full of strong candidates from top to bottom that have young voters energized and getting involved for the first time.
Precinct Walk
Posted November 1st, 2008 by DavidThis morning, Nathan and staff went out to Rancho Bernardo to walk precincts with the Republican Party of San Diego County, in an effort to maximize voter turnout this Tuesday. This election looks to be close across the board, and will likely come down to which side is more effective at turning out out their voters. Please join us on election day and help ensure that the GOP is victorious this cycle!
