BR: The Three Signs of a Miserable Job by Patrick Lencioni

A good friend of mine (who is a great manager) recommended this book to me. It is a great read and one I now recommend to anyone who manages people - in any profession. The author walks through his struggles with retirement and venture first into taking over a small pizza place. He installed a series of management changes aimed at making sure his employees knew their job mattered and found creative ways to measure their performance. It worked and he soon followed by taking over a struggling sporting goods chain. This is an easy (and entertaining read) and well worth the time.
