Nathan Fletcher Victorious in 75th Assembly District
November 5, 2008
SAN DIEGO -- Nathan Fletcher was victorious in his bid to represent the 75th State Assembly District, securing 52 percent of the vote.
A victorious Fletcher was thankful to his supporters, and credited his success in a tough election cycle to hard work and to delivering a message that focused on solutions to the challenges California faces.
“The voters have spoken clearly -- they want their elected officals to work together to find solutions to the problems we face," said Fletcher. "Voters are ready for change. We face a struggling economy, a broken state budget, and an education system that is not adequately preparing our children for the changing job market. These issues were central to my campaign, and will be central to my efforts as a member of the Assembly. I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to represent the people of the 75th Assembly District in Sacramento."

Today the San Diego Union Tribune endorsed Nathan Fletcher for the 75th Assembly District:
"In the 75th Assembly District, which ranges from La Jolla across northern San Diego up to Escondido, Republican candidate Nathan Fletcher – a decorated former military intelligence officer, community activist and businessman – is heavily favored to replace departing GOP incumbent George Plescia.
...We strongly recommend the bright, energetic Fletcher. He would be effective from his first day on the job."
