Former Assemblyman and Veterans Advocate Nathan Fletcher
Kicks Off Campaign For San Diego County Supervisor
SAN DIEGO –Former Assemblyman and veterans advocate Nathan Fletcher launched his campaign for San Diego County Supervisor today with a video announcement shared online. Fletcher is running for the District 4 open seat currently held by Ron Roberts.
Nathan Fletcher said: “I’m running for County Supervisor to take on the status quo and put County Government to work for all of us. San Diego’s a great place to live, but we can’t keep ignoring our neighborhoods urgent needs, look the other way while working families struggle, or sit by as Washington threatens our basic values. I’ll tackle the tough issues to get things done and make County Government work for all of San Diego.
“I’ve spent my life fighting to make a difference and improve people’s lives. I served in the Marines, authored Chelsea’s law to protect our kids, fought hard to pass the Homeowner’s Bill of Rights, and took action to get our veterans the help they need.
“I’m ready to get things done to build a brighter future. Economic security for our families, affordable college for our kids, clean air and water for everyone, and action on the homeless crisis affecting all of San Diego. Leadership isn’t big talk, it’s delivering real results for working people. As your County Supervisor, that’s exactly what I’ll do.”
Fletcher’s full video announcement can be viewed here.
San Diego’s 4th Supervisorial District encompasses the majority of the City of San Diego. If elected, Fletcher would be the only Democrat on the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. Current Supervisor Ron Roberts can’t run again due to term limits.
