State of the County: Join me on Thursday, February 18th at 7 pm as I share my vision for San Diego County, including plans for recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, during this year's State of the County Address. It will be an exciting event, filled with some historic 'firsts' that you don't want to miss! RSVP HERE.
Vaccines: Earlier this week, we welcomed Governor Newsom to the Vaccination Super Station at Petco Park to see first hand the incredible job that County and UCSD staff are doing in the vaccination effort. San Diego County has administered over half a million vaccines to date; which is a rate more significant than any other large county in California! As we continue to build our distribution capabilities, we still experience vaccine supply as a limiting factor.
Never too late to do the right thing: 60 years after taking a police officer’s handcuffs, this San Diegan decided to do the right thing and return them:) It took some pressure from the man’s grandson, but a good lesson for us all; an error doesn’t become a mistake unless you refuse to correct it!
They never learn: At some point, you’d think KUSI would get tired of being wrong. I guess I’ll just have to keep correcting them until that day comes.
Video of the week: The “cat lawyer” video went viral. After showing the video to my son Zach (12) he had a classic reply: “old people are the best”. They are indeed!
