Vice President Joe Biden Endorses Nathan Fletcher For San Diego County Supervisor
One of the Nation’s top Democrats says “On the County Board, Nathan will stand up for our values and fight to help working families.”
SAN DIEGO – Nathan Fletcher, former Assemblyman and candidate for 4th District County Supervisors, today announced receiving the endorsement of Former Vice President Joe Biden.
Vice President Joe Biden said: “Nathan Fletcher served his country and was one of California’s most effective legislators, bringing people together to expand healthcare for workers, protect children from violent crimes and pass scholarships for middle class kids. On the County Board, Nathan will stand up for our values and fight to help working families.”

Vice President Joe Biden’s endorsement is particularly notable since the Former Vice President rarely endorses in local races. As an advisory board member of Organizing for Action, Fletcher worked closely with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden advancing efforts to provide healthcare, empower future leaders, promote better gun control, immigration legislation, and tackle climate change.
Fletcher is the Democratic Party endorsed candidate for County Supervisor in San Diego’s 4th District.
Nathan Fletcher served as State Assemblyman, where he authored Chelsea’s Law, passed scholarships for middle-class kids and was rated one of California’s most effective legislators. A decorated veteran of the Marine Corps, Fletcher is a Veteran’s advocate who has worked to eliminate the stigma surrounding Post-Traumatic Stress and has fought to prevent immigrants who served in the military from being deported. A professor at UCSD, Fletcher lives in the City Heights neighborhood of San Diego with his wife, Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher, and their four children.
